Celebrating Family Day – Feb. 20th!

family-dayIf you’ve read through a few posts, perused the Facebook page, or visited the studio, you know that our focus is very strongly on community and family. You might say that we’re in the construction business – constructing strong individuals and strong groups. Of course, we can’t do this without ensuring that the process is fun!

Because The Academy is a family institution – run by family, with a focus on providing the kind of atmosphere that encourages students to become family as well – we feel that Family Day on February 20th is an awesome opportunity to bring people together in health and happiness. We strive to do this everyday through training.

On February 20th, we’ll be opening all of our classes to both children and adults together. If you’ve always wanted to train with your kids (and/or kids in your extended family), this is your chance! Our class schedule that day is as follows:

  • Noon (12-1 pm)
  • 5:30-6:30 pm
  • 6:30-7:30 pm
  • 7:30-8:30 pm

As above, all of these classes – on February 20th only! – will be open to both children and adults together.

Of course, healthy families are part of healthy communities, so all classes on the 20th are free for new participants to try. You’re encouraged to bring participants with you who have never tried Krav Maga before. This includes members of your family, friends, neighbours, and coworkers.

We are asking evening-class participants to bring small finger-food potluck items (something low-maintenance like a veggie or fruit tray, for example) for a casual celebration during and after classes.

For more information, please e-mail sarah@canadakm.com

Please take advantage of this opportunity to share your love of Krav Maga, your good example of physical activity, and your appreciation for safety and well-being with loved ones, friends, and neighbours!

We hope to see all of you on the 20th!
